"I knew during the first introduction with Nick that he was not only a serious professional, but also someone who absolutely loves Africa. That alone convinced us that booking with him would result in a trip of a lifetime. His overall enthusiasm about Africa and attentiveness to our somewhat naïve questions really showcased his professionalism and client service.
In terms of the trip, the itinerary was perfect. We started further south in Capetown and then spent two nights in Franschhoek (Winelands) before heading to Safari for six nights. A delightful surprise was that he proactively got us upgraded at no cost to a better lodge as the original place we were going to stay was under construction longer than expected.
As many of his clients have mentioned, you are treated like royalty on a YPA safari, but at the same time, each guide and lodge is great at customizing the experience to your taste, risk tolerance, and anything else that you deem important.
We ended our trip with a stop on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. It was one of our Safari highlights and a perfect ending. The falls are amazing, but the Zambezi river and the lodge we stayed at were out of this world. We ate dinner on a floating dock and were serenaded by the local church choir. It was a memory we will never forget.
In summary, I would give Your Private Africa the highest possible recommendation. Even before leaving we wanted to go back and explore more that Africa has to offer – Kenya, Uganda, etc. If you have any trepidation about Africa, I would say that while you’re there, you’re safe, in good hands at all times, and will gain new perspective of the planet we live on and our ecosystem."
